Friends Of Saltaire Primary School ('FOSPS') is a registered charity. This means that we are a non-profit making organisation regulated by the Charities Commission. Our object is to advance the education of the pupils of Saltaire Primary School by the provision of facilities for education at the school (not normally provided by the local education authority).

We are able to do this by using funds that we raise from events and activities organised during the year. Last year we donated over £7,700 to School. Some of our events are generously sponsored by local businesses. FOSPS is managed by a committee. Our current committee is as follows:

President: Kevin Keogan (Headteacher)

Chair: Jane Campbell

Joint Treasurers: Fiona Spiers and Morag Booth

Secretary: Shanti Thakker

All parents and carers can be involved in helping to make decisions.

All parents and carers of children who attend Saltaire Primary School are automatically eligible to become members of FOSPS. All you have to do is come to one of our meetings. The level of participation is up to the individual and can vary from simply helping at one of our events to becoming an officer on the committee.

If you want to help, but cannot or do not wish to attend meetings, why not join a growing list of parent/carer helpers? Simply give your name to a member of the committee and tell us how you can help.

Therefore whether you are new to the school or an existing parent, if you are interested in joining us to benefit your children, why not come to our next meeting or talk to Jane, Rachel, Fiona, Morag or Mary in the playground at the end of the school day.
